Givat Haviva is deeply shocked about the attack in the synagogue "Congregation B'nai Torah", where five people lost their lives. We send condolences to the families of the victims and wish speedy recovery to the wounded. There is no justification for harming innocent people and there is nothing that can excuse the slaughter of worshipers during the prayer service. Givat Haviva condemns all attacks towards Israeli and Palestinian civilians, synagogues and mosques. We call on the leaders of both sides to avoid any unnecessary incitement and do everything to stop the deterioration and acts of revenge which are leading us to a vicious circle of violence. We call upon the leadership to act harshly to terrorism and to return to the path of reconciliation and hope.  The Israeli-Palestinian conflict contains too much pain, suffering and loss. גבעת חביבה מביעה את זעזועה העמוק מרצח המתפללים הבוקר בבית הכנסת "קהילת בני תורה" בשכונת הר נוף בירושלים, ושולחת תנחומיה למשפחות הנרצחים ואיחולי רפואה שלמה לפצועים. לא יכולה להיות שום הצדקה לפגיעה בחפים מפשע ואין דבר שיכשיר טבח במתפללים בבית תפילתם. גבעת חביבה מגנה בתקיפות כל פגיעה מכוונת באזרחים ישראלים ופלסטינים, בבתי כנסת ובמסגדים. אנו קוראים למנהיגי שני הצדדים להימנע מכל התלהמות מיותרת ולעשות ככל אשר לאל ידם לעצור את ההתדרדרות ומעשי התגמול המאיימים להצית תבערה כללית . אנו מצפים מהמנהיגות לשלב טיפול ביד קשה בטרור ובו זמנית לחזור לנתיבות של פיוס ותקווה. הכאב העצום , הסבל והאובדן מקורו בסכסוך הישראלי פלסטיני. לא ניתן להמשיך ל"נהל את הסכסוך" תוך כדי מרחץ דמים יש לחזור, במהרה, לנתיב של פתרון הסכסוך זה אפשרי עצרו את מעגל הדמים  ותנו סיכוי מחודש לחיים ושלום  יניב שגיא

تنظر جبعات حبيبة والمركز اليهودي العربي للسلام بقلق بالغ إلى التدهور الأخير والمتفاقم في العلاقات اليهودية والعربية، والذي يهدد المجتمع الإسرائيلي بأكلمه. إن هذا التشابك الخطير بين التمييز البنيوي القائم منذ سنوات عديدة، كما تم وصفه من قبل "لجنة أور"، والضائقة الاقتصادية، والعنصرية المتفاقمة، ومشاعر الملاحقة السياسية، والتقصير في معالجة اعتداءات جماعة "تدفيع الثمن"، وتهديد الوضع الراهن في الحرم القدسي الشريف، والشعور بوجود قانون آخر للتعامل مع المواطنين العرب (كما تم التعبير عنه في الأحداث الأخيرة في كفر كنا) – جميع هذه الأمور تؤدي إلى إمكانية أن يستبب أي حدث بإشعال المنطقة المتفجر أصلا في ظل هذه الظروف. نشد على أيدي القيادات المحلية في المجتمع العربي، وشركاءنا من منظمات المجتمع المدني التي تبذل جهودا جبارة من أجل تهدئة الأوضاع وتقليص الأضرار اللاحقة في نسيج الحياة المشتركة. لكن هذا غير كاف!! نحن ندعو القيادات العليا في الدولة، وعلى رأسها رئيس الحكومة، بالعمل من أجل خطاب مغاير للتعامل مع المواطنين العرب في إسرائيل، والتنصل بشكل حازم من تصريحات شركائه ...

Yaniv Sagee, Executive Director, Givat Haviva Twenty-four years ago I fell in love with my wife and life partner, Galia. I was then 26 years old, the Secretary General of Kibbutz Ein Hashofet. This was about a year after I returned from representing Hashomer Hatzair and the Jewish Agency in the United States. It was four years after I completed my service in a Paratroopers Commando Unit, where I spent time Lebanon and served in the First Intifada as part of my reserve duty. Galia was a fresh discharge, who had just completed her military service as a welfare officer of the Golani Brigade. After five years of being together, we got married and our first son was born, Tav Sagee. Today, after the completion of his year of civil service in Hashomer Hatzair, he was inducted into the army for combat service. חשבון נפש אישי ולאומי ביום גיוסו של בני לצה"ל לפני 24 שנים נקשרה נפשי בנפשה של גליה, רעייתי, הייתי אז בן 26 , מזכיר קיבוץ עין השופט.   כשנה לאחר שחזרתי משליחות של השומר הצעיר והסוכנות היהודית בארצות הברית , 4 שנים לאחר סיום השירות הסדיר שלי בסיירת צנחנים שבו "ביליתי" כשנה במצטבר בפעילויות מבצעיות בלבנון, שנים שבהן הספקתי במילואים לשרת באינתיפאדה הראשונה ושוב בתעסוקה בלבנון במסגרת פלס"ר צנחנים של חטיבת מילואים. גליה הייתה משוחררת טרייה שסיימה זה עתה את שירותה הצבאי כקצינת ת"ש של חטיבת גולני. אחרי חמש שנים של זוגיות התחתנו ונולד בננו הבכור , תו שגיא. היום לאחר סיום שנת השרות האזרחית שלו בשומר הצעיר הוא התגייס לצבא לשרות קרבי בנח"ל. בעיצומה של המלחמה בעזה הצטרף הדור הבא למעגל הלחימה – עד מתי ? לפני 77 שנים נולד אבא שלי, יעקב שגיא (ויסמן) בבוקרשט שברומניה. כשהיה בן 4 הגיע עם הוריו לטרנסניסטריה. המקום הנוראי שאליו נשלחו רוב יהודי רומניה בשואה. לאחר 4 שנים של סבל רב הוא יצא משם , יתום מאב שניספה בשואה, והחל עם אמו ואחותו את המסע לארץ ישראל. מסע שהוש...
